Windows Sound Recorder interface

Hello,
I need to be able to access Windows Sound Recorder
from Java.
I develop in Java (also know Unix/C++) but am clueless
in COM/VC++ (M$ products... oops, I meant MS).
I looked in the donated API stubs in the Sourceforge
download but did not find anything to help me.
Can you please guide me how to do this?
