RE: Error: syntax error

Two more unpleasant behaviours in Mozilla ( Mozilla 1.4 Mozilla/5.0
(Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.4) Gecko/20030624):

1) JavaScript Errors: 
"Error: __components__ is not defined" : 
"Error: NW_WIDGET_menu_unHighlight is not defined"
these appear frequently, but not always, without, however, causing the
script to fail.

2) Alert Box: "A script on this page is causing Mozilla to run slowly ....
Do you want to abort the script?" - This might be the fault of my own code,
though. Any ways to prevent this box?
