Menubar drop down over iframe

Hello, I have the menubar dropdown widget placed over a hideable iframe. When the iframe is hidden the dropdown displays just fine. When the iframe is visible, it appears over the dropdown. The dropdown has a z-index of 1000. The iframe has a z-index of 1. Both are absolutely positioned. What can I do to avoid this? Is it fixable?
