Actually, there's an entirely rewritten tree widget (tree_widget2.js). 
It includes improvements like improved PNG support and better CSS 
themeing, keyboard navigation, and a sane system for custom icons in 
the widget (although you'll need your own icons since we can't ship 
the ones we developed with). It also features the ability to use a 
well-structured <ul> element for the inline ctor.

Give it a shot, I think you'll like it = )
