Well folks, the birds are chirping, flowers are blooming, and spring is in the air. Yes, I know... it's hard to believe but we're working hard on a fresh shiny new release of nw. Version 0.4 is in the pipe and we're looking for some feedback from the rest of the user community as to what you feel is the most parts to address before we ship. Alex, Dee and I have done some brainstorming and the following is our little laundry list of things we want to finish for release. We're looking for feedback wrt how you think this list should be prioritized as well as anything we may have overlooked and not included in the list. The list in no particular order is as follows: - Split pane widget - make the pane able to slide in/out from the side of the page so you can hide it when you don't need it. (as per dee's wishlist email) - Date picker widget - details in dee's 'My wishlist' email - Data table widget - Window widget rewrite - make is so that moving the window is much smoother and less clunky. (again, as per dee's wishlist) - Validator widget cleanup - documentation - write test pages - Develop website - idea is to demonstrate how nw can be implemented in a real website - raise the visibility of the project. explain more clearly what we're about w/o directing ppl to the docs - use the split pane widget for the nav bar, use validators for any input - demonstrate use of mod_pubsub (http://www.mod-pubsub.org/) - nwWrapper.js docbook docs (make sure it's covered) - Finish docs for sparsely comments parts in extended_ecma.js _______________________________________________ The netWindows developers list: [email protected] http://netwindows.org/mailman/listinfo/devel_netwindows.org
