Are you using some form of OpenWithServiceComponents() from CDataSource ?

This is a provider-specific error. Which provider are you using? The
provider often provides some sensible error information. What does it say?

Subject: [OLEDB_DEV] IRowsetUpdate::Update and DBROWSTATU_E_FAIL
Hi all,
I'm completely at a loss here, trying to insert a row in a Rowset over a
table in
an Oracle database. I have browsed the archives to no avail, and would like
clarifications over what is explained in MSDN regarding this combination of
errors.
Basically, the insertion succeeds but transmitting changes to the database
produces an error. The following SQL statement is issued like this:
SQL statement: "SELECT A, B FROM MYTABLE WHERE A = 1"
DBPROP_IRowsetChange = VARIANT_TRUE
DBPROP_IRowsetUpdate = VARIANT_TRUE
DBPROP_UPDATABILITY = DBPROPVAL_UP_CHANGE | DBPROPVAL_UP_INSERT |
DBPROPVAL_UP_DELETE
on the column accessor : value of A = 1, value of B = 2
IRowsetChange::InsertRow() succeeds,
IRowsetUpdate::Update() fails with a row status DBROWSTATUS_E_FAIL.
Can someone help me clarify what I'm doing wrong ?
Cheers.
Maxime.
