I vaguely remember something about updates/add not being supported by the driver and service components must be used. Bob Beuchamin (did I spell that right?) would be a great resource for this. Good luck. -Alan -----Original Message----- From: LABELLE, Maxime [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Wednesday, May 21, 2003 4:18 AM To: [email protected] Subject: Re: [OLEDB_DEV] IRowsetUpdate::Update and DBROWSTATU_E_FAIL Well, I made some progress on this problem. I have changed my code so as to use immediate update mode. Now, I get a more explicit error message from the provider. It says: > unable to insert NULL into "MYTABLE"."A" Well, that is weird, since I'm not actually inserting a null value. My code creates a column accessor with bounded value, status and length parts for two unsigned long numeric values. I happened *not* to set the correct length in the accessor buffer, and that was what caused the error. Thanks for your help. Cheers. Maxime.
