It's pretty acurate. The problem is this guy does not like change. He would probably write the same article about anything vs. CORBA. This guy is highly technical. He fails to understand that allthough allmost anybody can write the 6 lines of codes needed for a CORBA client, most don't understand the bigger picture of CORBA. And that's a problem. Stating that CORBA is not complex is plain silly. It's not that complex to a C++ guy, but try to explain the concepts to a plain vanilla vb programmer. (no offense) SOAP excells because of the fact that don and the rest fought this long battle just to keep as mucj as possible out of it (i.e: transactions). cheers Frederic -----Original Message----- From: Will Thomson [mailto:[email protected]] Sent: Friday, August 02, 2002 5:02 PM To: [email protected] Subject: [SOAP] Web Services/SOAP and CORBA Hi SOAP gurús, I need your comments on this article regarding Web Services and SOAP versus CORBA. <http://www.xs4all.nl/~irmen/comp/CORBA%20vs%20SOAP.html> Is it accurate?
