In the readme for the MSSOAP Toolkit versions 2 and 3, there is a warning that "The Soap COM components don't work reliably if called from a Multi-Threaded Apartment". I'm assuming that this is referring to the client-side components using (ultimatly) WinINET to do their network communication, and that the WinINET stuff is unreliable in a server environment. Is this a correct assumtion? We're trying to write our own SOAP listener and are using the SoapServer object from a multithreaded apartment, and don't want to be going down a wrong path. Thanks, Jim _____________________________________________ James Stanton Senior Software Engineer Escher Group, LTD http://www.eschergroup.com 101 Main St. 10th Floor Cambridge, MA 02142 (617) 234-8920 [email protected] You can read messages from the SOAP archive, unsubscribe from SOAP, or subscribe to other DevelopMentor lists at http://discuss.develop.com.
