It's information that is useful in deciding which tools or technologies fit the
requirements of a project, just as someone might compare assembly language and
Perl.

One offers faster execution, typically at a cost of development time. The other
is an ease of development solution for text processing, but not the best choice
for developing graphics primitives for real-time displays.
