Unfortunately my publisher (Addison-Wesley) prohibits me from publishing the book online. You can see the Table of Contents and Preface on the Addison-Wesley site (http://www.aw.com/catalog/academic/product/0,4096,0321185773,00.html). I believe that they plan to publish one of the chapters, too, but it isn't up yet. It's not a "how-to" book. It's more of a "why" book. The primary audience is managers rather than developers. (It's called "Web Services: A Manager's Guide".) It doesn't contain any code, but it does provide a lot of conceptual explanation about SOA, XML, WSDL, UDDI, SOAP, and SOAP extensions (WS-Security, WS-Coordination, WS-ReliableMessaging, etc). I think most developers would find this part very valuable. Plus it provides a lot of information about product configuration and product segmentation. It also provides a lot of good material to help you justify projects. It describes business models, and it references about 20 case studies with good ROI information.
