In general, there is not much of a difference (when dealing with objects - dealing with other data types is a different kettle of fish).

ByVal has a very small performance benefit, but nothing worth noting.

Both act basically the same unless you assign another object to the object variable which is the parameter.

which way is better (passing them, resource-wise, performance-wise & in
general) in COM+ objects? : ByVal or ByRef?
