Some problems using component

hi all
i am facing some problems with the component

1. most of the times my functions in the component works well and give
correct results. But sometimes when i try to execute the fucntion it raises
an error. i failed to understand why this happens.

for eg:1. i am extracting data from a table using stored procedure. i am
able to view all data.
2. i try to add raises an error. when i try to go debug it when goes to
rs.execute it waits for long meaning executes the procedure at times 7-8
mins later raises an error,or hangs.

3. at times this happens after i have added  the record when i do a
retreive.

these i have faced very rarely but it is quite difficult to tell  when this
can happen.
please any suggestions withh be vey usefull
