We are having a problem with the ADO object. We have written a code (both in
ASP and also VB) that accesses a database and
tries to insert a duplicate record into a table that has a primary key
constraint. In the error handler part, we thought of displaying the error
number and the
error description to the user. We executed the same code in two servers
(both of them
are WIN2k Advanced Servers, IIS 5.0, having the same configuration and the
same version (2.6) of MDAC).  In one server we are getting both the
error number and the error description and in another we get only the error
number and not the error description.

Not only for this, for all the operations that raises the error we are able
to get the error number and not the description.
Can you please tell me why we didn't get the error description in the other
server?
