Jason,

Log4net is currently in the process of moving to Apache. In the short term
log4net will be in what Apache calls incubation. This means that it is not
yet an Apache project but is qualifying to be one. It is our intention to
continue development of log4net at apache and keep the sourceforge site for
archival purposes only.

The http://logging.apache.org web site has a slot for log4net, however
nothing exists there at the moment.

Our current plans are to populate the new web site with all the required
procedure documentation (mailing lists, bug repository, etc..). Then we will
do a new release of log4net that will be only available on the
logging.apache.org site.

We want to do this for two reasons, firstly it has been too long since the
last log4net release and secondly to test our release procedures after the
move to apache.

The exact status of the release is still to be decided. If we can get the
last couple of features complete then it will be release candidate build
rather than another beta build.

We are keen to do this as soon as possible. Once the new log4net web site
has all the correct details for the apache development we will send out
another update.

Thanks,

Nicko
