If I use UdpAppender in Log4Net, I need to write a program to receive Udp message, right? I am currently using RollingFileAppender for my application, is there any similar tools like Chainsaw that can be used to view logfile of RollingFileAppender? Thanks -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of Scott Deboy Sent: Thursday, November 06, 2003 8:34 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [Log4net-users] RE: Log4Net Viewer The new version of Log4J's Chainsaw (only available for now via CVS) can receive Log4Net-generated events. On the Chainsaw side, specify a UDPReceiver in the configuration. On the Log4Net side, specify a UdpAppender configured to use an XmlLayoutSchemaLog4j layout. If you're interested in trying the new version of Chainsaw, go to http://jakarta.apache.org/site/cvsindex.html and retrieve the jakarta-log4j module and build it. An alpha release binary should be available soon for download. If you have further questions about Chainsaw, feel free to email me.
