I was looking to institute centralized logging to a log file for our = entire application which consists of ASP.Net web forms (web-tire) = talking ti the DataObjects that are hosted in remoting servers = (middle-tire). As I understand they all run under differend processes and only 1 = process can acquire the lock to write to 1 log file, hence I went with = the RemotingAppender. This does not work for me when I want to log messages in the DataObjects = hosted by the remoting servers. It dosen't write any log messages. I = enabled log4net's internal debugging but everything seems fine there. It = does not error out neither does it write to the log. Has anyone else = faced this situation or have any clues on debugging the root cause = futhur. Any help is appreciated.
