an ex-microsoft guy is implementing web applications on Unix Servers 
his current implementation for C# apps deployed under a .NET architecture works under mono using this hierarchy:

                 Apache

                      ^

                      |

                      v

                 mod_mono

                      ^

                      |

                      V

                  .NET Framework 4.x

                      ^
                      |

                      V

                    C# codebase


he has open requirements for logging,security and database work to be done in C# 

i'm stuck because i cannot locate an operational Mono installation anywhere
does someone have a connection to novell so i can at least get the mono piece working?

lately Nant makefiles have introduced hard dependencies on version specific .NET Framework binaries
dependencies on cl.exe, link.exe,make.exe and rcs.exe i can understand but mcs.exe and cs.exe seem unnecessary especially when mcs and cs binaries are version specific
 
accordingly the next NANT distro should include *all* of the (version-specific) binaries including cl,link and make and yes cs.exe as well..
 
sidenote: mono is a bit of a mess right now as none of the cygwin make scripts produce anything meaningful..

I am really happy that NAnt ist alive again. I also noticed you care about NAntContrib and I hope it will be alive again, too.
 
Are you in contact with the NAntScript developers, too? I think it is a really useful extension for complex build-scenarios.
