The NHibernate project is part of the Hibernate umbrella, that includes the
domain name and trademark. This is A Good Thing for all the projects and it
helped NHibernate grow to what it is today. This will not change, the
NHibernate and Hibernate projects will stay together under the same brand,
with the known domains, and they will be marketed (on websites and such)
together.

Now, we also know that the hibernate.org/nhibernate.org infrastructure
including the website software, wiki, and forums are no longer state of the
art. Indeed, they have been installed 5 years ago and have been running
since with little modification. Of course we all want the best software and
tools to run our projects.

We are currently discussing the migration of the Hibernate forums and
website to a new software, here at Red Hat. This is a completely new
platform based on quality forums/wiki/CMS software, and it will be rolled
out later this year. It will also power jboss.org - a much larger community
we'd all benefit from once we are part of it.

This is the ideal opportunity for you guys to be involved in such an effort
and to express your needs. Your contact for that is Mark. He knows what this
is about and he can discuss with you any requirements you have for running
NHibernate and growing its community.

Let me emphasize here that isolating yourself is not the right path for
growth, being part of a larger group is.

If you do not agree with this strategy: The software is under LGPL. You can
fork and rename it and do whatever you think is best.
