I can see the value in using DocBook, but was just wondering if Confluence was in the running at all?

DocBookWiki seems to have quite a lot of dependencies and I am not positive that SF supports them all. I can investigate to see if it can be deployed on SF. As to VM (as oppose to a physical machine), it is just easier if we want to deploy it somewhere else.

I agree with that.

BTW, why build a virtual machine instead of hosting it on Sourceforge?
Just curious :)

I had a quick look at DocbookWiki demo, it look like one can paste in the docbook Xml. So it may be a fairly easy proces to get it into the wiki. Let me propose this: I will build the VM as a prove-of-concept. Then we can decide whether to adopt it as the official way to maintain or docs. How does that sound?
