Strange.  I've verified that NProf.Hook.dll was a release build and it 
definitely is.  It doesn't have any external requirements either.

Can you export the registry keys under:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\W3SVC

and

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\IISADMIN

for me?  I might be able to glean more info from these.

BTW, does IIS start normally without profiling right now, or does it no 
longer work?
