Hi Charlie.

Running the NUnit 2.4.0 installer again allowed NUnit to appear in the
Add/Remove Programs dialog. (I'm still not sure how the entry got lost in
the first place.) I was able to run the uninstall program for NUnit and the
program files were properly removed.

Thanks again.

Subject: RE: [Nunit-users] How do I uninstall NUnit

Hi Sean,

I have downloaded NUnit 2.4.3 and plan to install it. I would like to
uninstall NUnit 2.4.0 first, but I have been unable to find any way to
uninstall NUnit automatically.

I've checked for an uninstall operation for NUnit in the following place...

- Add/Remove Programs
- [Current User]/Start Menu/All Programs/NUnit 2.4, Administrator/Start
Menu/All Programs/NUnit 2.4
- C:\Program Files\NUnit 2.4, C:\Program Files\NUnit 2.4\bin
- C:\WINDOWS, C:\WINDOWS\system32

I even tried running the original MSI that I used to install it
(NUnit-2.4.0-r2-net-2.0.msi). It does not allow me to remove the
application; I tried completing the install with all of the components
unchecked, but that didn't work either.

Am I missing something? If I cannot uninstall NUnit automatically, can
someone provide me with directions on how to uninstall it manually?

When installed with the msi, NUnit should be listed in Add/Remove Programs.
You can also uninstall it by re-running the msi or by running msiexec /x
name.of.the.msi Try doing a clean install and then remove it.

If you are forced to proceed manually, just delete the install directory,
the desktop and start menu shortcuts. You'll have a few registry entries -
which you can either leave orphaned or find and delete - and a settings
file, which won't hurt anything since the New NUnit would just recreate it
anyway.

Charlie
