Reason for Error status of an Addin

How can I find out why the status of an Addin is "Error"? I tried using 
the log4net integration, but it logs until this line:
12:34:38,484 PID=4056 INFO  [2080] ServiceManager: Request for service 
DomainManager satisfied by DomainManager

I can see many log messages in the NUnit source code, but I can't find 
any of them in the log file. I configured log4net in the NUnit config 
file and in the test config, but neither of them worked.
