It's possible. You would want to implement an EventListener extension. However, as one who is new to both NUnit and .NET, implementing add-ins for NUnit may not be the best place to start. Perhaps you should gain some experience at more routine things first. :-) I am copying this to the user list, and I'll ask you to continue the discussion there, rather than privately.
