Hi again Charlie,

It is not a question of desire to run the tests from a network share,
but one of necessity.
Our automated build server has limited space, so we are forced to run
our builds and tests from the network.
There are certain standards in the organisation which would seem to
preclude us obtaining any more disk space because the server build would
then be "non standard".

thanks

Tony

Following up on my first answer... I have set up automated
build/test processes
in quite a number of places and have never found it desireable
to run the tests
from a network share. Usually the perception of that need by the
team turned
out to be based on some misunderstanding. That might not be so
in your
case, but give it some thought.

network share

		Hi,

I am trying to run nunit tests from a network share and
it's just not happening for me.
		I just run simply:
		Nunit-console.exe
\\path\to\testassembly\testassembly.dll
<file://\\path\to\testassembly\testassembly.dll>

		And I get:

		NUnit version 2.4.6

Two, Alexei A. Vorontsov.

OS Version: Microsoft Windows NT 5.2.3790 Service Pack 1
		CLR Version: 2.0.50727.1433 ( Net 2.0.50727.1433 )
		Unhandled Exception:
		System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set

NUnit.ConsoleRunner.ConsoleUi.CreateXmlOutput(TestResult result)
		at NUnit.ConsoleRunner.ConsoleUi.Execute(ConsoleOptions

		at NUnit.ConsoleRunner.Runner.Main(String[] args)

The tests all work fine if they are on a local drive. I
need to run nunit under CruiseControl.NET and it needs to build on the
network.

Can anyone advise on how to run networked tests?

		Many thanks in advance,

		Tony
