Hello Charlie.

Using 2.4.7 addresses the problems I was experiencing and the tests are now running as fast (probably faster) as the GUI.

Thanks for your help.

Colin

Hi Colin,

Since NUnit 2.4.7 fixes /some/ performance problems, you should probably get it to see if yours was caught.

If you still have problems, I'd like to know if you are running the NUnit package for .NET 1.1 or that for 2.0.
If it's 1.1, are you acually running under 1.1 or 2.0? This seems to be a discriminator for some of the
performance issues.

Charlie

Subject: [Nunit-users] Very slow performance using nunit-console
Hello

I am experiencing terribly slow performance with the nunit-console when running unit tests.

When I run them within the GUI - the tests take 19 seconds.

When I run the same tests on the same machine - the tests take 1514 seconds.

I really need to use the console application as I am looking to hook this into our build process (NAnt, Cruise Control etc).

Can anybody advise as to what may be wrong or how I can overcome the difference. Please let me know if you require further information.

In case this is significant I am using NUnit v2.4.6 and when I ran the tests from the console I used a command similar to:

C:\nunit-console.exe c:\AssemblyBeingTested.dll

Thanks

Colin
