Hi Luca,

Actually, I have something that may be useful. I wasn't planning on
releasing it for a while, but give it
a try and see if it is useful to you.

I know, I am interested in the initial scenario. It takes about 10 hours to
run my nunit tests so i have a job that run them at night using
nunit-console.exe and save the results as an XML file. Let's say I had 100
tests failures in the night (out of 2000), when I get to work I would like
to load this XML files in the GUI and only the 100 failed tests should be
checked and ready to run/debug.

rerun only failed tests?

Hi Luca,

Loading from the xml would help when the test is initially loaded, but has
no bearing at all
in the course of an ongoing session with the gui.

The easiest way to run failed tests is to use the Run Failed menu item,
which is present
in both the context menu and the Test menu of the Gui.

Alternatively, if you are working in a small area of the tests, simply rerun
the last tests
each time by pressing Run.

If you want to have automatic access to the test results when you initially
load the tests
in the gui, that's definitely in the works, but for now, the easiest
approach is one of
the above.

Charlie

After running my Nunit tests and saving the results as XML I would like to
load this XML document in the Nunit-GUI and have only the tests that are
marked as failed checked in the UI checkboxes so I can focus on debugging
only the failures.
Did somebody already write a tool that does this job (parse the XML and
check the appropriate checkbox?)
Just trying to avoid reinventing the wheel...
Thanks, Luca
