Testing office addins

I want to test a office addin (visio). A office addin runs in the address space of the office application. The addin receives an application handle with which I can change the behavior of the office application (in my case visio). However when I run unittests nunit does not start visio so I do not get a valid handle. How can I solve this?. Making a dummy application object is not an option for me.
