XtndConnect PC was originally developed with NetManage. They used their own conduits to sync Ecco with Outlook. Sadly, the Ecco souce code is lost, I checked with Zvi Alon ex CEO of NetManage and Archie Robostoff now with Borland who was in charge for the originally planned open source release.
