Here’s an example. Suppose I am want to insert text [eg headers] at regular intervals on a line. I can do this by typing Ctrl-T, whereby the cursor is moved a certain distance to the right in the line. I can only do this 20 times in the same line, and then the next time I type Ctrl-T a new line is created and the cursor drops down to the beginning of the new line. If I want to create more regular spaces in the original line, I have to use the space bar.

Is there a way that I can increase the number of times I can use Ctrl-T in the original line - eg to 30, say?
