Move Items' Dates

 Q: As a project manager, I often run into situations where for one reason or another all the dates associated with a project slip. Is there any easier way than manually changing each date?

A: Indeed there is—if all the dates need to “slip” the same amount, that is. First, select all the items whose dates need to change. Then from the Tools menu, choose Move Items’ Dates. You’ll get a dialog box that not only lets you enter the number of days to “slip” all the items but also lets you tell ECCO to interpret your entry as either calendar days or business days. Note, however, that if an item is assigned to more than one date folder, this tool “slips” all the dates, not just the dates displayed in the current view!
