I had no problems changing the text of a sub-item on the phone and
have it synced back to Ecco to the proper sub-item. Make sure you
have "Show confirmation window before MyPhoneExplorer makes any
changes" check-marked and then "Use Entry from Phone" and Sync
mode: "Force phone -> Ecco" or "Sync both".

allow the changes to be synced back into Ecco? In my
testing, I couldn't do that (e.g. change the item text in
Ecco for an existing item by modifying on the phone).

What I could do successfully was sync items with subitems
from Ecco to the phone and also to create new TLIs with
subitems on the phone and sync them back to Ecco.
