Maybe your EccoPro installation is different from the default
location recommended during the installation by the developer.

It does work for me with EccoProX installed and running in the
default folder under C:\Program Files 9x86)\ECCO where
"ecco32.exe" and "eccoext.exe" are both present.

I was going to post what is below, but the tried the sync
without EccoExt and it worked. So as it is I have to close
Ecco / EE, then sync, then close vanilla Ecco and restart
with EE. Is there any chance it could be got to work with
EE in the first place? After all, calendar and contacts
sync doesn't mind EE...

Thanks!

Definitely doesn't work for me:

In Ecco, press enter to create new TLI in synced notepad,
call it "L1", for example. Create two subitems, "L2a",
"L2b". Sync with phone. On phone, open respective note and
add third subitem "L2c" or edit name of any of above
items. Sync again, in confirmation dialog (with "Force
phone -> Ecco" or "Sync both" enabled - I've tried
both) select "Use Entry from Phone" for the item. Confirm.
Result: no changes at all in Ecco notepad.

I've tried different stuff in Ecco (e.g. fold / unfold,
restart), but still no change. I'm using Ecco with EE
4.6.7.4...

I had no problems changing the text of a sub-item on
the phone and
have it synced back to Ecco to the proper sub-item.
Make sure you
have "Show confirmation window before MyPhoneExplorer
makes any
changes" check-marked and then "Use Entry from Phone"
and Sync
mode: "Force phone -> Ecco" or "Sync both".

Many thanks, Friedhelm, this is excellent news.

Can you please verify that editing items existing
in the
synced notepad / folder in Ecco on the phone does
not
allow the changes to be synced back into Ecco? In
my
testing, I couldn't do that (e.g. change the item
text in
Ecco for an existing item by modifying on the
phone).

What I could do successfully was sync items with
subitems
from Ecco to the phone and also to create new TLIs
with
subitems on the phone and sync them back to Ecco.

Thanks!
