The only operating system kernel that takes pain to insure compatibility
with older Windoze applications like Ecco, is Linux (via WINE), used by
Debian (and it's many derivatives, including Ubuntu and IT'S many
derivatives). openSUSE, Fedora and many more;

Because Micro$oft does not support computer programs Ecco as a matter of
principle - there's no profit in it.
