Airchecklover, you're definitely far ahead! What a setup!
I run a simpler setup. MacBook Pro 15" with 16 Gb ram. Win 7 Ultimate running under Parallels 10, and Ecco/EE running in Win 7 64 bit. I don't have any specialized knowledge other than having run PC's from the year dot, and Ecco since 1996.
This setup has been bulletproof. Ecco is very stable, and I haven't had a corrupted file since I started 9 months ago.
Ecco on my attached Display sometimes gets a little wonky, especially if I suddenly move Ecco from one screen to the other. I suspect either memory management, or difference-of-resolution issues between the Mac's Hi-Res Retina display and my attached Dell 23" monitor at 1900 x 1200. Sometimes an Ecco dialog box displays completely black. I either wait awhile, or press escape and open it again, and it's fine. Other times, when you start Ecco, it's nowhere to be found. Go to the Mac Screen Menu, top left, where it says Ecco, and click View>Enter Full Screen, at which point Ecco will display. You may then click View>Exit Full Screen, or >Restore, if you find Full Screen inconvenient. If you don't see Ecco at the top left of the Mac Screen menu, cycle thru running programs by pressing Cmd-Tab. Nevertheless, Ecco very rarely crashes, and these are only minor quibbles.
Printing sometimes gets a little finicky, for all Win programs, not just Ecco. If you can't print from Ecco especially after a re-start, unplug and plug back in your printer, and ask for it to be recognized by the Mac side. That's a simple click. To set this up, in Parallels>Preferences>Devices>When a New Device is Connected, choose "Ask me what to Do". In that Dialog Box, you should see all your devices listed as Permanent Assignments. Thereafter, no problems printing. I'm sure other group members may have better solutions. I'd like to hear them.
Rarely, Windows has a real Windows moment and will crash outright. Again, probably memory management or display issues. But never fear: Windows seems to restart quickly and happily, and Ecco starts right up. In fact if you feel that Windows isn't stable, or strange things are happening, just close your Win programs and restart Windows. And always give Windows time to load completely, otherwise it seems to take a little time for things to settle down afterwards. If you click on a Windows program with Windows not yet loaded, Parallels will load Windows then the program, but it's probably not best practice.
Overall, running Ecco on a Mac, under Parallels / Win7 has been a great experience, and a lot less overall pain than on a PC.
