Greetings

I don’t know if you would consider this relevant or not but yesterday my ecco business file (slang ver. 4.6.7.7) started to error out on startup for some odd reason, fortunately I was able to use the backup file to restore the original. I keep 2 notepads, one for work in formation and another for personal information and what I found is that on the work notepad I had a filter initiated. When I initiated a filter search on the second notepad it locked the file up. I was able to duplicate the problem so now I know to clear all filtered searches in any notepad so I do not run into the same problem. Hope this helps

Thanks

Frank

I tested the Installer and found no time display problem with the EccoExt version CompuSol offers as download or by way of the Installer integration . We do not manipulate Slang's coding in any way or form. If other users have a similar problem or no problem at all please post your results and any steps to re-create them at the forum!

Thank you for all the replies to this query. I've been away and did find a temporary workaround so have not got back to the problem until now.

The problem exists only if EccoPro is being run with EccoExt (the Compusol version) but not when I go back to the plain vanilla EccoPro.

r634718, you asked (30/6/15) whether there is a DateTimeFormat setting in my eccoext.ini file -- no, there is not. Should there be?

JS suggested (1/7/15) deleting and re-creating the eccoext.ini file -- could this this still worthwhile?

perlloaderplease, I've not yet tried your suggestions (22/7/15) -- I don't believe I have any Slang rules set up (I'm not really a power user of EccoExt).

I'm going away again for the next 4 days. If nobody has any better ideas, I'll try some of the things that have been suggested so far and report back.

Using latest EccoPro with EccoExt on Windows 8.1. A sudden problem has shown up today.

To put a new Appointment in the Calendar, I always click somewhere after the previous appointment, type in the appointment details and adjust the time as needed in the Date Settings dialog box. No problem.

But today when I start typing the appointment details, an incorrect time appears in the date/time column. When I go to the Date Settings dialog box to fix it, the correct start and end times are accepted, but when I OK that dialog box, the original incorrect time still appears in the date/time column and in the bar beside it. The incorrect time does not appear to be related to existing appointment times and is never just one hour as would normally be the case. When I move to another Day and return, the incorrect appointment item has disappeared. I've tried Daily and Weekly views, today and future dates and the same thing always happens. I've also closed and re-opened Ecco but the problem remains.

Any ideas, please?
