Dropbox keeps backups automagically - it will store previous versions that
you can restore if you need to.

Also I set ECCO to keep 4 automatic backups (.bk1--.bk4) also on Dropbox.

I have also used BitTorrent Sync... which also worked pretty well for me,
but I decided that Dropbox was easier.

​I liked ​Don's suggestion to experiment with a copy/backup file until
you're feeling comfortable with whatever option you choose.
