Re: Will this quasi-Evernote template for Ecco+EE be useful to you?

EverEcco template updater ... One week later I have concluded memory stress tests on the EverEcco template for Ecco+EE.   In short, I stuffed absolutely massive amounts of data in a single Ecco file before it maxed out.  It is hard to quantity "massive" but I am happy to report thanks to the coding, detective and info compilation work of those in the last 10 years - namely Slang and YSWT and bit of Albert S. - plus the early detective work of Ecco-ites from the mid & late 90's, I've documented and will publish in detail just how far you can push an Ecco file, and how to structure one get the most out of it.

In summary, I packed ~22,000 line items (TLI & SLI's) of data plus over 525 folders from the four main Ecco files I created in the last 20 years plus another ~18,000 line items from YSWT's compilation of 11 years of Ecco forums (1/2 of 11 yrs of Ecco forums) + folders.  Compound Word searches still almost instant. The Pointers memory stack ("1-Misc" and one of two 16 bit stacks limit Ecco) choked operations when I hit about 1200 free.  At that point I had 38,869 Locked folder items (Locked Items an EE-only feature), 17,105 Date-In Items (native Ecco limit <16,000 or 16K) & a total of 40.1K items entered while also displaying 39K view lines ("2-VOU) - also impossible to do by at least 20K VOU's in native Ecco. Pointers were at 62,290 w/ 1237 free when things started getting wonky.  I could have reduced Pointer use by combining SLI's from my SLI-heavy files into single text blocks, but what was the point?  This was a test and I'd already proven to myself I'll never outlive a single EverEcco file when using EE and all the xtra memory guard stuff Slang put in!

 Thanks for the interest.  As of yesterday - Sunday 11/1 - the essentials are in place and i slept well last night.  Of course, when I said a week ago "give me a week", I forgot to "times two or three that" for all the usual reasons.  But as I today - Monday - I am officially beginning to use the template in a work situation, meaning it is "beta functional".  So seriously, give me another week to tweak and to get the automation via Slang Rules in place.  Thankfully a couple guru's are helping out in that area, allowing this idea to become a reality.  When it is posted, it will be called "EverEcco v.1".  I am hoping at that point ppl will use it, get ideas, maybe even pitch in to bring it to v.2.
