I answer via the eccopro group since my replies at the other group
will be moderated. You might copy the other group!

If I understood you correctly, Slang took already care of your
problem:

1) Click on EccoExt Options ...

2) Choose the ShortCut Tab

3) Create a new ShortCut key for Send Mail,
I choose Alt-m (displayed as ALT+M)

4) Open a Notepad Folder like "Apptmnts" and highlight a text
entry, click Alt+M

5) If you include the recipient as the "Top Level Item" in the
high-lighted text it will copy the highlighted text as email body
to the recipient of your mail.

Also, just to mention in case it isn't obvious... you
should be able to rig up something that will do this, but
you still won't get the full functionality you want. For
example. You could not add a command for this on the
right click menu since that menu isn't accessible to you
unless you can modify the binary. Also, you will need to
have something to pull a list of contacts to mail to.
That may end up being the hardest part. Sometimes there
are some very clever workarounds to things like these, but
in this case, offhand I don't know of any. Someone else
may think of other ideas that may help you with this
project.

In the end you may determine that using the phone book to
set up the email and then copy and pasting the item into
the body of the email is the easiest solution. Not nearly
as cool, but will probably save you quite a few hours of
work.
