As explained by r634718 right-click
will not work! Just create a macro with the Evernote email address
Alt+E (or similar) and choose ALT+M plus ALT+E to send your
selection with just two strokes. I use for years "Macro Express".

am exploring the second route. I'd like to select and ecco
item with subitems, right click, pick "send to evernote" -
and it automatically picks my evernote email address, takes
the item plus subs and emails it to evernote. If I just use
"Send Mail" I have to enter my evernote email again and
again…

Just to clarify the steps: To set
appointments I always drag contacts from the phonebook into
the calendar pane. So the appointment folder has the contact
(in light green) as a top level item with the related email
address. All the highlighted subitem text will be the email
body mailed to the recipient.

If I understood you correctly, Slang took already
care of your problem:



1) Click on EccoExt Options ...

2) Choose the ShortCut Tab

3) Create a new ShortCut key for Send Mail, I choose Alt-m
(displayed as ALT+M)

4) Open a Notepad Folder like "Apptmnts" and
highlight a text entry, click Alt+M

5) If you include the recipient as the "Top Level
Item" in the high-lighted text it will copy the
highlighted text as email body to the recipient of
your mail.

solution. Not nearly as cool, but will probably
save you quite a few hours of work.
