Jinger - I am "seconding" what Friedhelm said ... there is a lot to learn and EccoPro is  worth it - but only if you are also running EE or Ecco Extender.   With EE you get word wrap in columns and mouse scrolling and tons more like auto assign rules and scripting if you want to get into that, copy & paste RTF and HTML, context free & hoist.  Lots of goodies for formatting too.  And very important: memory safeguards and non-destructive database scrubbing. 

EX:  Launch EccoPro by instead clicking on eccoext.exe and you have access to all the goodies.  Do a text wrap in a column by right clicking on the text column header and under the 'Alignment' box you check the box for "Word Wrap".

There is no tutorial for EE at the moment (working on solution) so ask Q's here for now.

And yes, the Ecco community appreciates feedback on running Ecco on Linux and Mac.  I use VirtualBox and recreate entire OS's.  This works but Wine & Crossover seem slicker and must be more cpu efficient.  Ha, although w/ Ecco, the program was fast on a 386 chip 20 years ago so efficiency doesn't matter so much!
