Do not use the EccoProX Installer on
Crossover. Just use your working Ecco Installation with my
original recommendation and just download and add the Ecco
Extension files to your ECCO program folder (see below!)

Today I went to
CompuSol and downloaded 64-bit
Installer EccoProX Version 4.6.7.7 in order to be
able to launch with the benefits of the extension, as
suggested. Using Crossover, I used EccoPro for
application name, For installer file, chose (from the
EccoPro64 folder) EccoProX64 - installation.msi. The
program then moves to an endless loop while it "checks
my bottles for compatibility with the selected
application." No progress. I'll let it spin awhile
longer, but I'm wondering if I've missed a step...

Do you use the original EccoPro on
Crossover with the Ecco Extension? The
Extension has fixed the mouse
scrolling issue. Check if you find
"eccoext.exe" in your program folder.
If not and if you have Ecco installed
and working you do not need to
uninstall or upgrade EccoPro just add
the Ecco Extension to your setup.

My recommendation:
Download the "free" Ecco Extension at
http://eccopro.com/ecco-extension/ and add the extracted files
to your Ecco program folder. Execute
"exccoext.exe" instead of "ecco32.exe"
(create a desktop icon of
"eccoext.exe" if you prefer!). In
Windows you will find a small EccoPro
icon on the right end in your lower
toolbar. You might have to click the
up-arrow to find it. Beside the
improvements mentioned on our site the
extension will give you additional
notepad/folder memory, the folder view
will give you not only the maximum
item count but also memory warnings.
The font limitations are removed.
Right-Click the EccoPro icon on the
lower task-bar to check on all other
Ecco Extension options. Check the
Change log "eccoext.eco" or
"eccoprox.eco" for additional info.

Just keep us updated how the Extension
would work in your Crossover setup.

I
run it via crossover and am

I
think it runs well enough
though I find it cumbersome
moving through the columns
with the arrow key instead of
being able to scroll. So I
kind of curse at it alot as my
spreadsheets have MANY rows
and MANY columns. I'm new to
the program, so I'm not sure I
can answer how it runs as
compared to its intended
design.

Right

now I am frustrated because
I'd like to be able to wrap
text within a column and can't
seem to make it work.
Colleagues says there is a
workaround for Mac, but I
haven't found it...
