Number folder vs text folder for my purpose

Hi all. I am using Ecco to manage notes for a book. I have a folder called Page that will contain the page number of the book from which a given note was taken. Thus, each note will have an entry in the "page" folder. Should I make this a number folder or a text folder? It seems number folders act just like text folders, so a range (e.g., pp. 37-43) isn't a problem. Am  I missing something? Would one choice have a virtue over the other for my purposes? Thanks!
