Eeeks!  This probably has to do with the fact that Ecco is not a native 64 bit app.  When a 64 bit Windows OS runs a non 64 bit app it has to use some intermediary configuration tricks to accommodate it.  Sounds like that process is just taking a while.  Not sure how to speed that up but there may be some geeky settings in the OS to expedite that process.  I don't think there is anything you can do on the Ecco side to shorten that wait.
