EverEcco updater ...

Greetings everyone.
 
 It's been a time when every project and goal gets delayed or lengthened due to issues &/or 'feature creep'.   EverEcco has the equivalent of feature creep as I have dug deeper into a almost endless stream of utilities, scripts, macros and add-ons that have been developed for Ecco over the years.  The Internet Archive's Wayback Machine - if you don't know about it btw - is an awesome resource for digging-up dead websites, like EccoRocks.com for example.  I've certainly learned a ton about all the neat little tricks that can be done w/ Ecco.  The process has been kinda like walking through a big-box hardware store and looking at all the individual items on the shelves and thinking about how 'this' could go with 'that' and with 'that' to make a better 'thing'.  The 'thing' in this case being EverEcco.
 
 I have also been methodically contacting long-time Ecco power-users and developers - folks who used to post here regularly - to pick brains and talk-up theory and methods of re-routing data flow in Ecco such that those problematic memory limits almost go away without even trying :-}   I'm happy to say everyone I've contacted is alive and well.  Some are checking the Y groups once in a while, but not posting much.  Others - well, you know how it goes ....
 
 One last piece of good news ... I've been in touch w/ Slang and he's offered - schedule permitting - to do finish the Menu-to-Icon mapping. I'll be able to add Toolbar icons for functions like "Select-->" and "Global" and "File" Bookmarks!
 
 So when will this thing be done?
 Well, the bigger project driving EverEcco has seen it's launch date pushed out a couple times, so there you have it.
