If you create direct shortcuts to the Ecco and Eccoext executables you get rid of the annoying "Please wait while" thingie. I could never figure what that "reconfiguration" did, but I have Ecco running very well in two Win10 machines (one even an Apple MacBook running W10) without the need for any reconfiguration every time I load the program.
