In Windows 7, right-click the Ecco icon in the Start menu and click "Run as administrator." You can also right-click that same icon, choose "Properties." On the Compatibility tab, check the "Run this program as an administrator" box. Also, check the Compatibility mode on that same tab; mine is set for "Windows XP (Service Pack 3)." (Again, this worked for me on Win7. I haven't installed Ecco on my Win10 computer, so I'm not sure if it works the same way.) Let us know if any of those suggestions help.
