Thanks Hermann,Yes, I have been backing up my precious database (probably have 20 years of info in it). I know that if things ever go irreparably south I'll have the backed up info - so that's not worrisome. And I've never had a problem like this - I'm trying a few things more before I give up on the one pc (of my 3 pc network). thanks for your inputBest, Steve

I still have my original 64-bit S/N but am concerned if giving it to someone else will disable the software on my computer even if Ireinstall it while not connected to the internet. What are you offering to pay for it?
Like Mr. Johnson recommends, have you tried deleting the software from the one computer where you can no longer access it and copy and paste all the directories and files from one of the other computers.
THe Unhandled Registry Error occurred once immediately after a Windows update.and then disappeared after uninstalling that update after which the new update didn't corrupt the software again.
I only use EccoPro for addresses and phone numbers. Fearful that the next Windows update would irreversibly corrupt the software, I printed out all the data so as to be able to enter all of it again in totally new software. You might want to backup the information in the same way.

Hello Group,
I run Ecco on a network of 3 computers at my law office.
I've had Ecco since pre 2000! Still have the netmanage paperback manual.
Recently (who knows why) one of mycomputers suffered from the dreaded "Unhandled Registry Error (cfo)" error.
I tried everything, uninstalled, registry clean up, re-install, etc.
In the end, the 64 bit will install up to needing for me to fill in the serial number/key boxes.
I can't for the life of me find my old serial number.
I am HAPPY TO PAY for a serial number to hopefully successfully install on this one pc.
Can someone help?
thank you much,
Steve
