Where is your working ecco32.exe? C:\Program Files\Ecco\ecco32.exe? C:\Program Files (x86)\Ecco\ecco32.exe? Drive M:\xxx\xxx\ecco32.exe? Some other place? I need the complete and exact path. Also, please tell me *exactly* what the "... / shell / open / command / Default value looks like in the "registry editor" Mine is "C:\Program Files (x86)\ECCO\ecco32.exe %1" What is the name of the file you are trying to open? Does this happen with ALL .eco files? Do the filenames have any spaces in them? The "Open With" window *should* have a "Browse" rectangle on the lower right side. If you click on it you can browse to where your working ecco32.exe is. Just make sure the "Always use the selected program ....." box is checked and, once you navigate to the proper place and click on "ecco32.exe", the path to the actual working program should be set. I am using Windows 7 right now (and I also use Win10 and previously XP) and the "Open With" dialog window is as described here. You can also right click on "Properties" / "General" tab. There you should also find an "Opens With" line and a "Change" rectangle that does the same. If not as above, my email is [email protected] Send me a picture of what your "Open With" and "Properties" dialog windows show and I will try to help you some more. What Windows version are you using? I understand Win7. Home? Professional? My Win7 is the "Professional" version, so maybe things are different.
