Hi Don, I don't think it's clear what I want to do. 1. Item1 1. line 1 2. line 2 3. line 3 etc. 2. Item2 1. line 1 2. line 2 3. line 3 etc. 3. Item3 1. line 1 2. line 2 3. line 3 etc. I want to join the lines of each item so I get the following: 1. Item 1. line 1 line 2 line 3 etc. 2. Item2 1. line 1 line 2 line 3 etc. 3. Item3 1. line 1 line 2 line 3 etc. Using Ctrl-Shift-J, Ecco just condensed the first couple of Items (unreadable really) and left the remaining 321 Items. I was using eccoMAGIC! before Slang's extension so I get a little confused about what is what. Anyway, if you do not need discrete entries, you can enter text in blocks and save on your Total ID Count. You might want to look at this. There was an example somewhere that showed how much data you could cram into Ecco without coming close to overloading it. But I could not find the example I was looking for. I think it was a dump of the ecco_pro listserv postings from all of time. Anyway, I think Ecco is capable of doing what you want to do; you just might need to use different strategies.
